Overview
Wedding crafts are perfect for use as decorations or when incorporated into favors for the wedding guests to take home. A type of exercise in creative artistry, some wedding craft projects will allow your inner Renoir or Van Gogh to not only rise, but also shine. Plan a get-together with family members and bridal attendants, and spend a day making these unique do-it-yourself wedding crafts. The memories created in their making will be almost as priceless as the finished crafts.

Chocolate dipped spoons make great wedding favors and are fun and easy crafts to make.

Candy Spoons
Everyone loves a candy spoon to stir their coffee or tea. Easy and inexpensive to make, they are great wedding favors and can easily be created in an afternoon. Dip plastic spoons into melted chocolate, and garnish with candy sprinkles or colored sugar crystals. Wrap in decorative cellophane and tie with a bow. Add a tag printed from your computer that displays the name of the bride and groom, as well as the wedding date.

Candles
Buy paraffin and scented oils at a craft store. Melt the wax in a double boiler, and stir in the scented oil. Pour the mixture into small votive cups, available at craft stores for around 50 cents a piece. Sprinkle in some glitter and tie with a bow. Attach a label to the ribbon preprinted with the name of the bride and groom as well as the date of the ceremony. Print the labels on like-colored paper using your computer printer.

Ornaments
Buy clear glass Christmas ornaments at a craft supply store as well as craft sand. Remove the tops from the ornaments and fill them with sand. Add small seashells or tiny colored pebbles in the wedding colors. Using craft paint, mark the wedding date on the outside of the ornament. String ribbon in a complementary color through the wire hanger.
For another variation of these clear glass ornaments, buy craft paints in the wedding colors. Remove the top from the ornament, and pour small amounts of the varying colors inside---one at a time. As you pour each color, swirl the paint around a little bit, which creates a tie-dyed effect. Add a complementary ribbon and attach a label to it with the bride and groom's name and the date of the wedding.
