Wii Cheats for American Idol

Overview

"American Idol" is a video game spinoff of the television show "American Idol." You play the game as a contestant who auditions and receives an invitation to perform on stage. Players receive some of the same sarcastic feedback in the game as real contestants on the show. Your performance is evaluated by Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson. Your scores received from competitions will determine if you move to the next round of the game. With each level completed, players win platinum records, which are tallied at the end of the game.
Unlocked Songs

There are several songs that can be unlocked, earning you extra points to win the competitions. The songs and awards are as follows: "More Than a Feeling"--earns five platinum records. "What Is Love?"--earns 10 platinum records. "Over The Rainbow"--earns 15 platinum records.

Unlocked Videos

By unlocking the following videos you can earn platinum records: "You Can't Hurry Love"--earns one platinum record. "Time of The Season"--earns one platinum record. "Midnight Train to Georgia"--earns one platinum record. "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing"--earns one platinum record. "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)"--earns one platinum record.
Modes

By completing the three videos during game play, you can unlock the short, medium and mini mode, which when played, adds extra points to your final score. The Simon Cowell video allows you to finish the medium "American Idol" mode. The Randy Jackson video allows you to finish the short "American Idol" mode. The Paula Abdul video allows you to finish the mini "American Idol" mode.
Unlocked Characters

During game play you can unlock several characters used to make your performance stronger. These characters appear on stage with you as you perform. To unlock the characters you need to earn the following amounts of platinum records: Angela--earn one platinum record. Raphael--earn 4 platinum records. Naoko--earn 20 platinum records. Oliver--earn 25 platinum records. Katelyn--earn 30 platinum records. Sarah--earn 35 platinum records. Nathan--earn 40 platinum records. Richard--earn one diamond record.
More cheats

When a song begins, the words will scroll across the screen with musical notes on top. You will also find an arrow that will guide you on the right pitch. Make sure when singing the song, you try to keep the arrow as close to the musical notes as possible. This tells you that the pitch is right and you will gain maximum points for your performance.
