How to Watch Videos on iPod Touch Online

Overview

Using your brand new iPod Touch can seem overwhelming because of its wide array of features, but it's actually quite easy and user-friendly. Watching videos through a WiFi Internet connection is a popular feature of the iPod Touch and is conveniently accessed via the YouTube app. Follow the instructions below for the easiest way to view videos online using your iPod Touch.

Instructions

Step 1

Press and hold the button located on the top of your iPod Touch to turn it on. If necessary, slide the unlock button to the right to access your apps.
Step 2

Verify you have Internet access by taking notice of the WiFi icon located in the top left hand corner of your screen (the icon looks like 3 curved blue lines stacked on top of each other). If the icon is not present you can choose from a list of available WiFi networks by tapping the "Settings" app and once the app loads tap the "Wi-Fi" button. The screen should now show a list of available Wi-Fi networks.
Step 3

Locate the YouTube app on your iPod Touch and tap the icon to open it. If the YouTube app is not on the first page then swipe your finger across the screen to scroll through the different app pages to find it.
Step 4

Tap the search bar at the top of the screen to type in keywords and then tap "Search" so you can browse through YouTube's data base of videos.
Step 5

Scroll through the list of videos that appear and tap one that is of interest to you.
Step 6

Turn your iPod Touch sideways to enjoy the video with a wider screen. Tap the Play button to begin watching (if it does not start automatically).
