Vegetarian Restaurants in Atlanta, Georgia
by Skyler Springsteen

Atlanta, the capital of Georgia and a booming regional metropolis, may be more famous for soul food than vegetarianism, but the city is home to a bevy of vegetarian and vegan eating establishments. "Forbes" reports that tens of millions of tourists visit Atlanta each year, and the city's vibrant vegetarian scene means that the non-meat eaters among them won't suffer for lack of restaurant options.

Green Sprout
Located near the Clear Creek Mall, the Green Sprout is a clean, inexpensive Chinese restaurant with an outstanding chef's specialty menu. Although the menu appears to be that of a typical Chinese restaurant, all meat is replaced with flour, potatoes, and other non-meat products. A review in "AccessAtlanta" recently lauded the Green Sprout for "its creative ways with undisguised vegetables and for the few homestyle Shanghaiese dishes that come out of this kitchen." Eggs omitted upon request.
