How to Use Bluetooth in a T-Mobile Shadow

    The Shadow is a cellular phone from HTC made exclusively for the T-Mobile network. The T-Mobile Shadow is a smartphone running the Windows Mobile operating system that offers many useful features. Some of these features include a 2.0 megapixel camera, global positioning system (GPS) navigation, a music player, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth. Turning on the Bluetooth feature allows the phone to be paired with other Bluetooth-enabled devices. The phone can be disconnected from these Bluetooth devices by turning the feature off.
  • Turn On Bluetooth and Pair with Device

 
  • Step 1

    Press (once) the "Up" arrow of the navigation wheel from the phone's home screen to open the Settings menu.
  • Step 2

    Press the center "Select" button on the navigation wheel to select Manage Connections.
  • Step 3

    Use the "Down" arrow of the navigation wheel to scroll to Bluetooth. Press the center "Select" button to turn on Bluetooth.
  • Step 4

    Press the soft key under Settings to access the Bluetooth settings menu.
  • Step 5

    Use the "Down" arrow to scroll to Bluetooth and press the center "Select" button. At the Bluetooth screen, use the "Select" button to choose Bluetooth.

    Select "Add new device" by pressing the center "Select" button.
  • Step 7

    Use the "Down" arrow to scroll to the device for pairing and press the soft key under "Next." If prompted, enter the passcode provided in the instructions for the Bluetooth device. Press "Next" to pair the phone with the device.
  • Turn Off Bluetooth and Disconnect from Device

    • Step 1

      Press the "Up" arrow of the navigation wheel from the phone's home screen to access the Settings menu.
    • Step 2

      Press the center "Select" button of the navigation wheel to select Manage Connections.
    • Step 3

      Scroll to Bluetooth using the "Down" arrow of the navigation wheel. Press the center "Select" button to turn off Bluetooth. The phone will automatically disconnect from the Bluetooth device once Bluetooth is turned off.

    • Turn the Bluetooth device on and put it in pairing mode according to the device instructions before beginning the steps provided. The default Bluetooth pairing passcode for many devices is "0000." Turning Bluetooth off while not using it with a Bluetooth device increases the battery life of the phone.
