How to Turn On Norton Internet Security

by Melody Fuller
  • Overview

Norton Internet Security shields you from threats to your computer while you surf the Internet. It blocks attacks and alerts you of websites that may be harmful so that you don't have to have your personal information jeopardized. For Norton Internet Security to work, the program has to be turned on, which is easy to do. As long as you remember to activate the program every time you open your browser, your computer will have a solid defense against malicious software and the people who create it.

  • Step 1

Open Norton Internet Security and click "User Accounts."
  • Step 2

Click Log On > Supervisor. If you're logged on as a user other than Supervisor, you'll need to log off from the previous user identity and then log back on as Supervisor.
  • Step 3

Enter your password and click "OK." Click "Status & Settings" on the left side of the screen. Click "Security." Click "Turn on" to activate Norton Internet Security.
