Thanksgiving Day Centerpiece Ideas
Family members often travel great distances to be together at Thanksgiving. The host or hostess works hard to provide a memorable meal and set a lovely table. These centerpiece ideas are quick, easy and inexpensive.
-
Fall Leaves and Candles
Use natural or artificial fall leaves around three pillar candles of different heights or a candlestick with tapers. Choose yellow, orange and dark red candles to match the colors of the leaves.
-
Miniature Pumpkins
Put several miniature pumpkins in a circle around a potted yellow chrysanthemum flower to contrast with the orange of the pumpkins.
-
Gourds and Dried Corn
Choose gourds and stalks of dried corn in yellow, red or orange. Alternate the gourds and the dried corn around three floating candles.
-
Pine Cones
Fill a basket with fragrant pine cones and add some fall leaves for color around the edges of the basket.
-
Wreath
Buy a grapevine wreath and use a hot glue gun to attach fall leaves, small pine cones and artificial chrysanthemums. Surround the wreath with sphagnum moss to make the Thanksgiving centerpiece complete.
-
Cornucopia
Buy a rattan cornucopia and fill it with fresh small apples, tangerines and nuts. Put some autumn leaves or small branches of fresh greenery around it.
