Tamarind Seed Thai Bistro
Located in the upscale dining and shopping district of Buckhead, Tamarind Seed Thai Bistro features traditional Thai cuisine in a chic setting. Chef Nan was born in Bangkok, and received early training working beside her mother, a Thai street vendor. Moving to New York City at age 19, Nan opened her first restaurant there, later moving to Atlanta. Lemon grass, coriander, kha root and kafir lime leaves flavor her unique dishes. Appetizers include tamarind spring rolls and thod-mun-pla spicy fish cakes, while sauteed mixed vegetables in red curry, chicken with sweet tomato paste and spicy lamb with basil are among the mains. The restaurant is open seven days a week.
