How to Stay Fit With Healthy Exercise
-
Step 1
Plan for healthy exercise in your schedule. Mentally prepare for your new exercise routine, and make a real commitment to fitting in a routine workout by blocking regular time in your planner for exercise.
-
Step 2
Decide which exercises you'll do regularly to stay fit, and get your gear ready. If you plan to take walks and swim, then gather your comfortable sneakers and a swimsuit.
-
Step 3
Make a true effort to get started. Once you've planned a regular workout schedule, stick to your schedule and just get started before you talk yourself out of it.
-
Step 4
Warm up and stretch before your exercise routine. Your warm-up can include walking or stretching exercises for at least 10 minutes.
-
Step 5
Start your workout. To stay fit with healthy exercise, do your planned exercise---such as walking, swimming or sports---for at least 25 to 30 minutes.
-
Step 6
Cool down from your exercise routine. Stretch your muscles for at least five minutes.
