Sewing Directions for Maya Wrap

  • Step 1

    Sew 1/4-inch hem around all edges of the fabric.
  • Step 2

    Fold the sling accordion style making 5-inch pleats.
  • Step 3

    Sew one of the edges of the fabric (widthwise) to secure the pleats into place.
  • Step 4

    Thread this edge through the two rings (about 4 inches should be through the rings) and fold this over the rings.
  • Step 5

    Sew the folded edge onto the fabric below. Make sure to go through all layers of fabric. You may want to sew two seams for extra strength and security.
  • Step 6

    Thread the other edge of the fabric through both of the rings and then back over the first ring and under the second ring. Adjust as desired.
