Scholarships for graduate students in special education are available for people who intend to pursue a career in teaching special education. Places to look include the government, individual schools and private foundations set up to fund these types of educations. Sandra Wheat Burroughs Memorial Scholarship

Special Education Services Scholarship

This award is given to students enrolled in Indiana universities. The award is for $1,000. Check the Web site at In.gov/ssaci/programs for more details.
UCT Scholarship Program

This award, administered by the Order of United Commercial Travelers of America (Uct.org) gives scholarships of $300 to $1,500 to students majoring in special education.
Department of Special Education Scholarships - Illinois State University

Illinois State University administers two scholarships in special education: the James and Edith Aagesen Ward Trust Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the Wanda and Dale Weaver Endowed Scholarships and Fellowship Fund. Check out the site at SpecialEducation.ilstu.edu/scholarships/ for more details.
