Overview
As with any software program it runs, your computer may occasionally delete or corrupt important program files when running Microsoft Excel, a component of the popular MS Office suite. In the event this happens to your copy of Microsoft Excel, follow a few simple methods for repairing the damaged files.

Step 1
Turn on your computer.

Insert your Microsoft Office installation disc.

Step 3
The CD should start by itself, if it does not, locate and double-click the disc drive under the "My Computer" icon.

Follow the on-screen instructions for installation/repair. You may need to restart your computer after the installation/repair.

After rebooting the computer, open Excel to see whether you successfully repaired it.
