Nashville is the home of the longest-running radio show in history, the "Grand Ole Opry," which started in 1925 and is now heard on 650 WSM. Other Nashville radio stations can be found on the Radio-Locator website, which allows you to learn about the Nashville radio dial in minutes. Nashville has many country and religious stations, along with a wide range of other programming. A long-running news station is 1510 AM WLAC. If you aren't close enough to listen on a radio, Radio-Locator also provides links to station websites, which may allow you to listen online, wherever you are.

Step 1

Visit Radio-Locator.com and type "Nashville" in the search box for cities.The site will show a list of Nashville FM stations, followed by Nashville AM stations. Call letters are listed first, then frequency, then city of license.

Use the "format" column on the right side of the page to scroll down and find stations with the formats you like. FM stations listed before 92 FM are public or educational; stations 92 and higher are commercial.
Step 3

Click on call letters such as WSM, which links to the station's website. Check the site to see whether it offers live streaming. Even if the station does not offer live streaming, you may be able to learn about the station's programming.

Go back to Radio-Locator.com and search for other communities near Nashville, such as Lebanon, Hendersonville and Kingston Springs, Tennessee. The site will display stations whose signals reach those areas.
