How Do You Market a Website on Dogpile?
by Shannon Moudry
-
Overview
Dogpile is a search engine that fetches results from all the best search engines, compiles them and then displays the list in the Dogpile search results. Unlike other search engines, Dogpile does not accept submissions from individual websites, blogs or links. This can make it somewhat difficult to market a website on Dogpile; however, the key to getting your site listed in the Dogpile results is getting your website to show up in the top search results of other major search engines.

Step 1
Log in to the hosting account for your website and look for a "Check Stats" link (or an option with similar wording). Click the link to view the stats report; this will allow you to see what keywords people are typing into the search engines to find your website. Make a note of all the keywords that you see by writing each one down on a piece of paper.

Step 2
Navigate to a free online keyword suggestion tool. Use the keyword tool to search for variant spellings and synonyms of the keywords you found when reviewing the stats report of your site. Add all the additional words that you find to your paper list.
-
Step 3
Use all the keywords that you wrote down on the sheet of paper to fully optimize your website by using one or two relevant keywords in the title, the headings and the general overall content of each web page on your site.
