However, the treatment of the tumor by radiation can be delayed, due to the slow growth that the tumor typically displays.Undergo surgical resection of the tumor. Surgical removal may cure some cases of optic gliomas. Partial removal of the tumor is also available and can minimize pressure-induced damage from the tumor.
