How to Make a Cleaning Schedule Blog
by Jimmy Boyd
-
Overview
Blogs exist on a seemingly unlimited number of topics. Any topic or niche that provides information or instruction and has a potential audience makes for a marketable blog. For example, most people hate cleaning, but it is a fact of life. Parents must clean the house and teach their kids to clean their rooms. Businesses must keep a clean office space. People have limited time these days and find it hard to juggle all their tasks. They need cleaning schedules to get everything done. Bloggers can make a blog with schedules and cleaning tips to help these busy people keep up with their cleaning tasks.

Step 1
Utilize WordPress.org to make a blog. WordPress hosts blogs on its own site. However, those who have their own domain names can enable the blog functionality on a separate hosting account. The home page provides the installation procedure. Some hosts also have a WordPress install feature from the control panel.

Step 2
Write an introduction as the first message. Click on the Dashboard link after logging in and then click on Post at the top. A new page comes up, and that page allows the blogger to click Add New and type a title and message. The blogger should state something about herself and why she started a blog about cleaning schedules.
-
Step 3
Choose which topics and keywords will attract traffic from the search engines. The Google AdWords Keyword Tool provides a categorized list of keywords. Enter the term "cleaning schedule" in the search box. The tool returns a list of keywords related to cleaning.
-
Step 4
Write an article featuring each of the keywords people search for in search engines. Some keywords get less than 100 searches per month, but many of them get tens of thousands. For example, bloggers should select keyword search terms like "cleaning tips." Bloggers should write an original article if possible. However, many sites provide free articles. For example, GoArticles.com provides free article content in return for posting the relevant author links with the article.
-
Step 5
Post daily updates of the blogger's cleaning schedule and other tips. The blogger gains credibility and creates loyal readers by keeping in constant touch with the readership.
-
Step 6
Incorporate advertising into the blog. Plug-ins perform different tasks to improve functionality of WordPress blogs. The free All in One AdSense and YPN plug-in places advertising on each article of a blog.

- Exchange articles with other blogs for traffic. Search for similar blogs by running a search at social bookmarking sites like Reddit.com.
Submit each article to social bookmarking sites. These sites invite topical submissions and rank the submissions, thus providing free promotion to blog entries.
