There are replicas and copies of black powder guns and pistols, ranging from muzzle loading to black powder breech loading, still sold at major retail stores.

Features

Black powder is a combination of potassium nitrate, sulfur and charcoal. A black powder load consists of powder, a patch, lubricant and ball. There is a range of ammunition available for different uses, such as hunting or target practice.

Black powder is also referred to as gun, cannon or blasting powder.
