    Agricultural science is a diverse field with many career opportunities. Jobs in this field concentrate on biology, zoology, chemistry, botany and countless other scientific specialties.
  • Food Scientist

    The goal of a food scientist is to analyze and improve food products through research and biotechnology; they also develop better ways to process, store and prepare food, according to the National FFA.
 
  • Animal Scientist

    Animal scientists seek to improve the quality of meat, dairy or poultry products from animals. They research animal nutrition, genetics and growth, and can also participate in the inspection of animal facilities.
  • Soil Scientist

    Soil scientists study every aspect of soil. They classify soils based upon their characteristics, usage and composition.
  • Engineering

    Agricultural engineers work specifically on developing agricultural tools such as tractors, irrigation systems and farm facilities. Organizations that employ agricultural engineers include government agencies, manufacturers, farming operations and research corporations.
  • Education

    Agricultural scientists can work in the field of education as teachers, administrators, researchers, or with educational groups such as the Future Farmers of America.
