Hispanic Grants for College

According to a 2009 study by the Pew Hispanic Center, although about 89 percent of Hispanic American young adults cite college education as a major factor in achieving success in life, less than half say that they plan on attending college. Financial pressure to support their families represented the main reason respondents gave for surrendering their dreams for college. Scholarships targeting Hispanic students, however, are available from a variety of sources, from companies to foundations that specifically cater to assisting the underserved Hispanic community.

Hispanic students can apply for a number of scholarships that specifically target their needs.
