    Aliens Vs. Predator 2 is a sequel to the 1999 computer game Aliens Vs. Predator. The game is a first-person action shooter that allows players to play from the perspective of either an Alien, Predator or Colonial Marine. The game includes both single and multiplayer modes.
  • Release

    Aliens Vs. Predator 2 was released on Oct. 30, 2001. It was developed by Monolith Productions and published by Sierra Entertainment and Fox Interactive.
 
  • Rating

    Due to its violent content, Aliens Vs. Predator 2 received an "M" rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB). That means that is suitable only for mature audiences and should not be played by gamers younger than 17.
  • Characters

    Each of the three races playable in the game have different strengths and missions objectives. The Predator is the strongest and has a number of stealthy weapons. Colonial Marines are all about firepower and can light up dark areas with flares and flashlights. The Aliens are fast and deadly, but have to get up close to make a kill.
  • System Requirements

    Aliens Vs. Predator 2 is a graphically intensive game. To play it requires a processor that runs at at least 450 MHz. It also needs a minimum 128 MB of RAM, a 4x CD-ROM drive and 750 MB of free hard drive space. It is available for Windows or Mac OS X.
  • Reception

    Aliens Vs. Predator 2 was generally well received by critics. Gamespot even described it as one of the best action games of the year. It was widely considered superior to the first game in the series.
  • Expansion

    In 2002 Sierra Entertainment released an expansion pack, Aliens Vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt. It added new multiplayer maps and a single-player campaign, but was poorly received by critics.
