Feng Shui Tips for Prosperity

by Yu Qing
  • Overview

Prosperity allows you the financial freedom to attain your goals and live your dreams. Feng shui practitioners believe it helps you reach your desired level of prosperity. Feng shui is an ancient Chinese art that arranges indoor and outdoor spaces harmoniously to achieve beneficial results. Your personal wealth depends on the positive ebb and flow of your surroundings. Stagnancy prevents positive flow, while positive attitudes and harmonious spaces invite wealth into your life.
    Feng Shui Principles Attract Prosperity
  • Remove Clutter

Many things in your home or workplace create negative energies that prevent the flow of energy. Clear clutter to produce a clean space so that circulating prosperity can move easily through the space. Remove negative items such as pictures of poverty and pain. Remove dead flowers and plants because they harness dead energy. Keep the air quality clean to improve the feng shui of your home. Do this by dusting regularly and removing dirt.

  • Add Elements of Water

Water corresponds with wealth because it carries chi, or energy flow. It is important to include moving water elements in indoor and outdoor spaces. Moreover, water should be positioned carefully to optimize its energy. Chinese tradition places water in the front of the building. In fact, the Chinese built traditional mansions on landscapes with rivers, creeks or lakes that embraced the home to accumulate positive energies. Objects that introduce the water element include pools, aquariums or water fountains. For example, place an interior water fountain at the foyer of your home. The water fountain should be running 24 hours a day to prevent the water from being stagnant. Close the toilet lids and bathroom doors to prevent stagnant water from negatively influencing the feng shui of your home. Arrange your fireplace so that fire energy will not cause your money to go up in flames. Balance fire by adding water elements. Add a vase filled with water and fresh flowers or marbles. Or place a small water fountain on the top of the fireplace to calm the fire energy.
  • Flourishing Plants

Healthy, living plants harness energies of abundance. Make sure you keep your plants healthy. Dead plants will negatively influence the feng shui. Keep the water clean in vases. Change the water regularly to prevent stagnant, dirty water from creating bad energy. Traditionally, the Chinese used bamboo as a feng shui symbol for wealth and abundance. Place plants near water fountains or other water elements to multiply prosperity energy. Plants also help purify the air of your space. Place indoor flowers or plants throughout your office or home, and keep your garden healthy.
