How to Erase Search Memory Metacrawlers

    When surfing the Internet, your browser retain a memory of all the sites you visited and of all the searches you made. If you are using a shared computer or a computer that can be accessed by other without your authorization, there are privacy concerned. All browsers have a dedicated function to erase the browsing history. However, the browsing history is only part of the history retained. The browser also keeps track of the searches and forms you have filled out, tracking cookies of the websites you visited as well as logins and passwords for sites you subscribed to.
  • Internet Explorer

 
  • Step 1

    Click on the "Safety" menu on the upper right corner of your Internet Explorer window.
  • Step 2

    Select "Delete Browsing History."
  • Step 3

    Select "Form Data" in the new window, deselect all other checked options and click "Delete" to erase the metacrawlers search history.
  • Firefox

    • Step 1

      Click on the "Tools" menu
    • Step 2

      Select "Clear Recent History"
    • Step 3

      Select "Form & Search History", deselect the other checked options and click on "Clear Now" to erase the metacrawlers search history for the time period you specified in the "Time Range To Clear" menu.
  • Chrome

    • Step 1

      Click on the "Wrench" icon on the upper right corner of your Chrome browser window.
    • Step 2

      Select "Clear browsing data."
    • Step 3

      Select "Clear saved form data" and deselect all the other options. Click on "Clear Browsing Data" to erase the metacrawlers search history
