  • Indianapolis is the capital of Indiana. The downtown area is home to many of the city's tourist attractions like the Indianapolis Zoo, White River Gardens and the Lucas Oil Stadium (home to the NFL team the Indianapolis Colts). Downtown Indianapolis also has many bars that serve as gathering points for visitors and locals alike.
  • Slippery Noodle Inn

    The Slippery Noodle Inn was founded in 1850 as the Tremont House. The name was changed to the Slippery Noodle Inn in 1963. It is Indiana's oldest continually operated bar. The bar has live blues music seven nights a week. The Slippery Noodle also has a full menu that is served until 11 p.m. nightly. It features nachos, quesadillas, burgers and wings. For its 30-year anniversary, Slippery Noodle released a blues CD titled "Live from the Slippery Inn, Vol. I." It was then that the Slippery Noodle Sound recording label was started.   • Broad Ripple Tavern

    The Broad Ripple Tavern is a contemporary bar owned by Lux Restaurants. It is located on Indianapolis' famous 62nd Street strip. The bar has sophisticated modern steel dining facilities, a game room with pool tables and a back bar room for private parties.   • Average Joe's

    Average Joe's is a sports bar in downtown Indianapolis. It opened in April of 1995. The walls of the bar are covered with sports memorabilia from teams ranging from football to volleyball. The 18 televisions at the bar always have the major games playing. In addition, there are five satellite dishes and televisions in the restroom. The menu includes burgers, sandwiches, wings, pizza and nachos. Average Joe's has received many awards, including "Best Sports Bar" by Indianapolis Monthly; "Top 10 Places to Watch the Superbowl" by USA Today; and "#17 Sports Bar in America" by ESPN.
