Instead of selling or trading in your used RV, consider donating the RV to a charitable organization. In Massachusetts, there are several organizations that will happily accept your RV. The vehicle can be either used by the organization for transportation, or it can be sold or auctioned off in order to collect the proceeds. In addition to helping your community, you will also receive a sizable tax deduction when it's time to file your taxes.

Step 1

Remove all of your belongings from the RV. Clean the RV, inside and out, to get it ready to be picked up.
Step 2

Choose a charitable organization to donate your RV to. Call local organizations, such as churches and homeless shelters to see if they take RV donations. You may also use a car donation service, which include Action Donation Services and Online Car Donation. These services provide lists of charities in Massachusetts that will accept your donated RV. They will also handle the pickup and sale of the vehicle.
Step 3

Schedule a time for your RV to picked up. At the time of pick up, you will be asked for the title and you will be required to sign any necessary transferring documents.
Step 4

Obtain a receipt from the charity or donation service. You will need this to use your donation as a tax deduction.
