How to Design Your Own South Park Character

Overview
Comedy Central's adult cartoon "South Park" has been on the air since 1997. Fans who are curious to see what they would like if they were part of the show can design their own "South Park" character online. A number of websites allow users to fully customize a character down to the smallest detail, such as a tattoo or jewelry piece. A personalized South Park character will demonstrate not only your love of the cartoon but also your creative skills.

Step 1
Access a website where visitors can create their own South Park characters. See Resources for examples.

Begin by clicking on "Skin." Choose a skin color for your character from the color grid. Click on your selection to add it to the picture.

Click on "Eyes" and "Mouth" to choose from a selection of facial features.

Click on "Hair." Browse through the selection of short and long/special hairstyles. Click on your preferred hairstyle.

Click on "Hands" and "Legs" to choose hand and leg configurations. Some websites require you to select a color for each of these features after they have been added to the picture.

Click on "Body" to select clothing for your characters. Select a color from the grid for freestyle top and bottom garments or choose from a selection of pre-designed garments.

Click on the "Stuff" button. Add features such as accessories, facial hair, text or music to your character.

Click "Place" or "Background" to choose either a solid-colored background for the picture or a setting from the TV show, for example the characters' school classroom.

Click on an individual element, for example tattoo, at any time to rotate, move or delete the position of the element. A toolbar will appear on the screen. Click on the "Flip," "Move" or "Delete" buttons to alter the element.

Click the "Save" icon once you are satisfied with the appearance of your character. To erase a character and start over, click on the "Delete" button.
