How to Customize a Download for an iPod Touch

Overview

The iPod Touch is a great portable media device that allows you to take your favorite games and music with you on to go. There are thousands of different applications available for the iTouch, and some of them even give you the option to customize the download. Whether you're trying to make the Mail app more secure or change the way you log into an instant messenger, it can all be done right in the iPod's settings.
Customizing a download

Step 1

Turn on your iPod Touch by awaking it from sleep or holding down the power button at the top left side of the device.
Step 2

Click on the Settings button from the main iPod screen. Here, you will see the settings for the main applications on the iPod (music, mail, etc.)
Step 3

Scroll down to the bottom of the list. Here, you will see the customizable applications that you have downloaded.
Step 4

Select any one of the applications on the list to customize it. You may see options to hide your location or link accounts based on what the developer has provided.
Step 5

Press the "Settings" button on the top left of the screen to go back to the main menu. Whatever changes you have made to the download will automatically be saved.
