    The Culinary Institute of America is one of the most prestigious culinary schools in the world and there are three locations in the states. The CIA offers professional degrees in the culinary arts as well as ongoing training for food professionals and enthusiasts.

    The Culinary Institute of America calls itself the world's premier culinary colleges. It was established in 1946. Students are educated in the culinary arts as well as the baking and pastry arts.

    The main campus of the Culinary Institute of America is located in Hyde Park, New York, about 2 hours north of New York City. There are satellite campuses in St. Helena, Calif., and San Antonio, Texas.
  • New York Campus

    The New York campus of the CIA offers bachelor's and associate degree programs in the culinary arts. There are four student-staffed restaurants on campus and one student-run bakery cafe.
  • California Campus

    The Culinary Institute of America's California campus is located in the town of St. Helena in the Napa Valley and is commonly called the CIA at Greystone. This campus offers associate degrees and certificate programs. There is one restaurant at this campus and it is staffed by both students and professionals.
  • San Antonio Campus

    The Culinary Institute of America at San Antonio offers a 30-week certificate program. The San Antonio campus specializes in Latin American cuisine.
  • Fun Fact

    Each student receiving a bachelor's or associate degree from the CIA must complete more than 1,300 hours of hands-on training in campus kitchens and bakeries.
