How to Create Your Own Banner Avatar

    Open Adobe Photoshop. Go to "File" and select "New."

    Name your new file, and in the "Preset" drop-down menu, select "Custom." Set the width to 450 pixels and the height to 100 pixels. Click "OK."

    Design your banner avatar. Use images of your favorite actors, cartoon characters or shows. Be sure to layer text and other designs on top of the images.

    Once you are satisfied with your design, go to "File" and select "Save for the Web." This will ensure that the color encoding of your banner avatar will be suitable for use on the web.
