  • Overview

Many of the most common dog diseases are preventable through vaccinations, regular checkups with the veterinarian and prompt treatment when symptoms arise. Puppies should receive preventative shots beginning at eight weeks of age. Mature dogs receive yearly vaccinations. If a dog displays unusual symptoms or is in discomfort, see a veterinarian immediately.
