Overview
Your leather pocketbook suffers from wear and tear more quickly than other items you may have because you probably carry your pocketbook around with you. The more you carry it, the more likely it is to have spots on it. However, you can clean spots on a leather pocketbook with an effective cleaner that won't damage the leather. Using items you likely already have around your house, you can freshen up your pocketbook so it looks as good as new.

Step 1
Apply a dab of toothpaste straight to the spot or stain you have on your leather pocketbook. Lightly scrub the area then wipe the toothpaste off your pocketbook to remove the stain.
-
Step 2
Pour some non-acetone nail polish remover onto a tissue or a cotton ball. Wipe it on your leather pocketbook to remove ink spots.
-
Step 3
Spray aerosol hairspray directly on the spots you have on your leather pocketbook. Wipe it away completely and it will wipe away the spots.
-
Step 4
Rub mayonnaise into water spots you may have on your leather pocketbook. Let it sit for two hours, then wipe it off to remove the stain.
-
Step 5
Clean and condition your leather pocketbook using your own homemade recipe. Mix one part white vinegar with two parts of Neat's-foot oil. Swirl it on your leather pocketbook with a lint free cloth and let it sit overnight. Buff it off for maximum shine.
