How to Clean 2003 Cobra Leather Seats

Overview
Leather seats on a 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra can show dirt more easily than their cloth counterparts. Mustang Cobra owners often take great pride in showing off their cars, so maintaining the leather seats is an important regular occurrence. You can clean the R-shaped leather seats on your Cobra, if you have the right cleaning supplies and about 20 minutes.

Clean your 2003 Cobra inside and out.

Step 1
Vacuum all the debris off the leather seats of your 2003 Mustang Cobra. Be sure to stick the head of the vacuum into the seats as far as you can to suction out as much debris as possible.
-
Step 2
Brush the crevices of your 2003 Cobra leather seats with a detailing brush. Take your time to brush every crevice on the tops, bottoms, sides and along the distinctive R-shaped curve of the 2003 Cobra seats. Brush away all the dirt or vacuum the seats a second time to remove the grime you turn up from brushing.
-
Step 3
Spray two or three squirts of leather cleaner onto each leather seat. Immediately dip a soft cloth in water and rub the cloth in a circular motion on the seats to activate the cleaner. Don't spray more than three squirts, or you may find that it's difficult to remove all of it. Allow five minutes for the cleaner to work, then remove it gently by brushing the foam off with your cloth.
-
Step 4
Apply two or three dabs of leather conditioner on another clean, soft cloth. Rub the conditioner onto the leather seats of your 2003 Cobra to make them soft and supple. Use a generous amount of conditioner for best results; once you realize your cloth has used all the conditioner, apply more and keep rubbing it in. Be sure to rub the conditioner into the R-shaped sides of the seats, too. Allow the seats to dry.
