Singing along to favorite Christmas carols, devouring homemade holiday treats and opening presents are a lot of fun, but sometimes they can become lackluster and routine holiday activities. Christmas party games are fresh and festive ways for people of all ages to bond, get to know each other, make new holiday memories and share laughs. Best Gift
Best Gift is both an engaging game to play and a lighthearted way to keep your party guests from complaining about the presents they receive. To play this game, first pass around a box with numbers on folded pieces of paper. Each guest must draw one. The guest who draws number one gets to choose a wrapped gift from the pile. There can also be some gag or prank presents such as boxes of macaroni and cheese, toilet paper or funny photographs. If the person who drew number two chooses to take the gift away from the first participant, then the first participant can choose another gift from the pile. Then, the second person can take that gift from the first or choose another gift from the pile. The third participant can take the gift from the first two people or choose a gift from the pile, and so forth. The rule is that a guest cannot take back a gift someone else has taken away from you. By the end of the number drawings, each guest will have a Christmas gift. The party host can then ask guests to open their gifts to see who got the best gift of all.

Christmas Idol
This lively game called Christmas Idol is similar to the popular singing contest and television show "American Idol," but instead of contestants singing popular songs, the contestants sing Christmas carols. You will need two or more contestants as well as a karaoke machine to play this game. The host must choose three guests to serve as judges as well. Each player will then perform a Christmas carol, and then the three judges choose the best performance. The player with the best performance becomes the Christmas Idol. Another fun way to put a twist on things is to tell the judges to select the worst performer, who will then get a special prize.

Funny Christmas List
The objective of Funny Christmas List is for the player to make a funny Christmas list for the person to her left. This game works best with four or more players, all of whom need pencil and paper. For example, if a player in the group is an athletic, macho kind of guy, a player could write something down like "a teddy bear" on his list. Limit the Christmas lists to five items each. Each player will pass her finished list to the person on her right, who will read the list aloud to the recipient.
