The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) requires notification for documenting a change of address. Each state has its own forms and methods for submitting this documentation. The quickest way to view information for a particular state is to visit the Unofficial DMV Guide change of address website.

Step 1

Open a web browser and navigate to the Unofficial DMV Guide change of address website. Select the state you currently reside in to view the requirements for submitting change of address information. If you are moving to a different state, view the requirements for that state as well.
