You will be able to see the different ways your ideas can be put together, as well as configure any extras such as large closets and built-ins.

Decorating and Design

Step 1

Lay out the basics of every room. Choosing your flooring, wall colors and ceiling textures will factor in the rest of your design choices.
Step 2

Choose the finishes. The material and colors of cupboards, cabinetry, countertops, moulding, doors and other architectural elements is important when figuring out how to build a house and home. These choices are what really give the start of a certain kind of decorating style in the rooms.
Step 3

Plan the details. Something as small as hardware can make or break the style and mood that you are going for in your living space. Look for the right doorknobs and drawer pulls to finish off your look. Other elements such as lighting and appliances are also brought in at this stage.
Step 4

Add the personality. After all of the essential living elements are decided upon, it's time to bring in your personal touches. Artwork, furniture and accessories to finish off the living spaces are what truly make them your own. Letting your individuality shine through is the most important part of how to build a house and home.
