    Weider Max's features include 240 pounds of rod resistance, lat tower, high and low pulley stations, presser pad, expanded leg developer and standing squat station.
  • Identification

    Bowflex is a recognizable name because the company spent thousands of dollars in advertisements. Weider rarely advertises.
  • Cost

    In 2009, the Classic Bowflex, available from the Bowflex website, cost $649, while the Weider Max can be purchased at Wal-Mart for $358.
  • Overall

    Both the Classic Bowflex and Weider Max are sturdy and will last for many years. Both offer a total body workout--no other equipment is needed.
