  • Fake Eyelashes

Almost every actress wears fake eyelashes on the red carpet. Fake eyelashes can define your eyes in a way no mascara can. There are a variety of fake eyelashes you can use, from real human hair to synthetic to real bird feathers. Applying fake lashes takes practice. The easiest type of fake eyelashes to use are the individual eyelashes, and they also look the most natural. All you need are individual fake lashes, lash glue and tweezers. Start with clean, mascara-free eyelashes. Squeeze a little blob of glue onto a piece of aluminum foil. Using tweezers, pick up the individual lash and dip the end into the glue. Wait for the glue to dry a little, for about 10 seconds, so it becomes tacky. Then, using tweezers, place in the middle of your lash line and hold it there for 10 seconds to allow the glue to set. Keep applying the individual eyelashes, moving outwards toward the corners of your eyes. Finish with a layer or two of mascara, which will blend the fake eyelashes with your real eyelashes.

  • Sculpting With Makeup

You can define your bone structure using makeup, making your face look thinner or your cheekbones more defined. Using makeup to contour and sculpt your face is a clever makeup secret practiced by professional makeup artists, but it's a trick you can execute at home. All you need are face powders that are one shade lighter than your normal skin tone, another powder two shades darker, a shimmery golden highlighting powder and a few different powder brushes. To bring out the bridge of your nose, dust the lighter powder down the bridge of the nose in a straight line. To bring out cheekbones, suck in your cheeks, and dust the hollows of your cheeks with the darker powder. Then apply the highlighting powder on the tops of your cheekbone. You can contour your face however you like by remembering that lighter powders will bring out features, while darker powders will cause features to visually recede.

  • Hot Oil Treatment

Hot oil treatments are great for dry and damaged hair. After a hot oil treatment, your hair will be lush, shiny and healthy-looking. Many salons offer hot oil treatments, but this is a beauty treatment you can do yourself at home. Warm 1 or 2 cups of olive oil in the microwave. Test it to make sure it's not too hot. Then apply to your hair using your hands, working it into the scalp and down to the roots. Wrap a towel preheated in the dryer around your hair, if you like, once you've applied the oil. Leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, then rinse and shampoo.
